Trustee Election selection Panel member

Our Selection Panel has an important part to play in our Trustee election process. It is the panel’s role to shortlist candidates standing for election as trustees of the County in accordance with our selection and elections guidelines. The panel will also be responsible for considering any appeals to the shortlisting process.

The opportunity to be a member of our panel is open to all members of our County Scout Council.

Panel members must be 18 or over, and ideally will include at least two members aged 18-25.


We are looking for individuals with experience of one or more of the following:

  •  - Experience of interviewing & selections
  •  - Experience of hearing appeals/grievances
  •  - Inclusivity/equality
  •  - Trusteeship in a charity

The process of selecting the Elections Panel is being overseen by our Nominations and Governance Sub-committee, which is made up of six members of our current County Trustee Boards (three from South London and three from South East London).
